Tyvek® Hard Structure is part of a family of tough, durable sheet products used in a variety of applications. It combines all the best physical properties and characteristics of paper, film, and fabric – in one exceptional material. While most products offer water resistance or breathability, Tyvek® offers both. It is equally strong and protective in wet or dry conditions. Tyvek® is lightweight, flexible, smooth, particulate free, opaque, and resistant to water, rot & mildew, chemicals, abrasion, and aging. Tyvek® is significantly lighter than traditional fabrics or papers. Hard Structure Tyvek® styles are paper-like and have a smooth slick surface with a very low coefficient of friction. Easy to handle, lightweight, strong, and extremely durable, Tyvek® lends itself easily to a variety of applications that benefit from its unique characteristics and is easily sewn on any conventional sewing machine. HomeWrap Tyvek® It is mainly used for ground cloths and tent footprints. It can be used as tent and tarp material. It has a printed side with Dupont Tyvek® spelled out thoughout the roll. The other side is plain white. The weight of the fabric is 1.6 oz/sq yard and is about 6.4 mils thick. It is very durable, water resistant, and breathable. Also t can be used for tarps and tents. We have Adhesive Grommet tabs that can be attached to the perimeter or corners of the Tyvek®. For every sheet you order you will receive 4 Grommet Tabs. Once you attach the tabs, they do not come off. They come in a package of 8 tabs that are ready to attach, peel, stick, DONE! No tools required. The weight of the material is about 1.6 oz per sq yard.
